OUR PROJECTS
315 Ihumatao Road
Mangere, Auckland
Ihumātao is an archeological site of historic importance in the suburb of Māngere, Auckland. The project involved the alterations and a significant addition to an existing villa deemed historic “villa” (Mendelssohn Homestead). As part of our services, we prepared and submitted a Heritage Construction Management Plan (HCMP) for Council certification in fulfilment of Resource Consent condition. The HCMP included the management processes in place to guide the demolition and construction works in relation to heritage and archaeology, to ensure that the works are undertaken in accordance with good practice conservation principles and methods, to avoid, mitigate or remedy adverse effects. Working along the Heritage consultant and Archaeologist, Ecolink was engaged to provide full construction phase project management services through to CCC. The project involved close liaison with Te Ahiwaru, Te Waiohua (Makaurau Marae Maori Trust) as part of the stakeholder engagement through the construction phase.
